We proposed a new website to Eat Art Venues as their current website was unfit for purpose, we saw via Facebook that the food they prepared was of a high quality and thought it was a shame this wasn’t reflected in their website. We had originally designed the logo for Eat Art Venues at the beginning of 2016 and thought it was a great shame that the site they had didn’t reflect their company’s vision.
Once we had wire framed the site we then went for a photography shoot to showcase the great food they prepare. We have made this a focal point for the website, putting the food first.
We used a serif font for the menu headings to give the site more of an elegant feel, but kept the legible sans serif font for the body text, as the contrast is visually pleasing. The imagery was always going to be the main feature of the site. So we kept photography on all pages to tease the tastebuds of the potential clients.
We then added a booking form to the right of each menu page for ease of access, the user journey is clear, the user can browse the menus and then book the menu on the same page, meaning less clicks and more engagement.
