About

The Association of British Credit Unions Limited (ABCUL) is the main trade association for credit unions in Britain, representing credit unions to governments, policy makers and the media.

The Brief

ABCUL helps member credit unions to grow as sustainable financial services providers through information provision, training and development services.

The website is one of the main hubs of which members interact with ABCUL’s services. However, the website was outdated, visually unappealing and users found it difficult to navigate. As it failed to convey the value ABCUL presented to members and stakeholders, they were looking to completely rebuild their website.

ABCUL invited Unbranded Digital to design and develop their new website in view of improving the user experience.

Our Response

Our aim was to design and develop a brand new, bespoke digital solution that amplifies the ABCUL brand, optimises the user experience for all stakeholders (members, non-members, media etc…) and conveys ABCUL as a modern trade association.

The digital transformation project included the implementation of exclusive member areas with unique user logins and verification, discussion forums, informational content pieces, optimised internal search functions and more. Whilst it was important we ensure the new website is functionally equipped, we were equally as focused on the design as visual appeal and ease of navigation are crucial components to UX optimisation.
