Bradford Digital Tech Tuesday: Why We’re Proud to Be Part of Bradford’s Growing Tech Community

We had the pleasure of joining Bradford’s digital and tech community for what turned out to be a genuinely brilliant day. Bradford Digital‘s Tech Tuesday, part of UK Tech Week, took place at The Ballroom at Bradford Live, and as one of the sponsors, it was fantastic to be part of something that felt so alive with energy and ambition.

The day was packed from start to finish, with doors opening at 9:30am, the main programme running through to 4:30pm, and networking continuing well into the evening until 7pm. By the time it wrapped up, the room had been filled with speakers, innovation sessions, and business panels that really showcased the depth of talent and genuine ambition that exists right here in Bradford.

Bradford: A City With Plenty to Offer

Bradford doesn’t always get the credit it deserves when the conversation turns to tech and digital, and too often the spotlight tends to fall on Leeds or Manchester while businesses here quietly get on with building brilliant things without much fanfare. Events like Tech Tuesday are a wonderful reminder that there’s a thriving digital ecosystem in this city, one that’s growing steadily, forging meaningful connections, and producing real, tangible results for the people and businesses involved.

It was also great to see the sponsorship lineup on the day, which included AireValley.ai, Expert OS, Evolve Your Digital, SalesGeek Yorkshire, and ourselves at Unbranded Digital. Seeing those names up on the screen together felt like a genuine reflection of what Bradford’s digital community looks like right now, and how much it has to offer.

Bradford Digital: What the Day Looked Like

The Ballroom at Bradford Live is a stunning venue at the best of times, with its ornate arches and atmospheric character, and on Tuesday it felt like exactly the right setting for an event of this kind. There was a real sense that something meaningful was taking place, and the atmosphere throughout the day reflected that.
Sessions covered everything from innovation and digital business to the future of tech in the region, and one of the highlights was seeing panels that brought together voices from both education and industry. Representatives from Bradford College, Keighley College, and the University of Bradford all featured, which served as a timely reminder that nurturing the pipeline from education into the sector is something Bradford is genuinely investing in, and that bodes really well for the future.

The AI and technology panel was another standout, with practitioners speaking candidly about where things are heading, what’s actually working in practice, and what businesses should be thinking about as the landscape continues to evolve. The room was engaged throughout, the questions from the audience were sharp and thoughtful, and the conversations that carried on into the networking session afterwards were some of the most useful and interesting we had all day.

Why We Sponsor Events Like This

Unbranded Digital was founded in Bradford and has called this city home for well over a decade now. Bradford is where we started out, where we’ve grown as a business, and where most of our team live and work day to day, so supporting events that genuinely invest in the local tech scene has never felt like a marketing exercise to us. It simply feels like the right thing to do for a community that has given us so much.

Bradford finds itself in a really exciting moment right now. With the City of Culture status, significant regeneration taking shape across the district, and a young and wonderfully diverse population, the foundations are genuinely there for a tech and digital boom that could be transformative for the region. That kind of momentum doesn’t build itself though, and it takes businesses, educators, and community organisations all choosing to show up, invest their time, and build something together rather than waiting for it to happen from the outside.

What Phil has created with Bradford Digital and Tech Tuesday is a really special example of exactly that, giving the city’s tech community a regular and genuinely valuable reason to come together, share ideas, and form connections that simply wouldn’t happen otherwise. That’s the kind of initiative that deserves to be supported, and we’re delighted to play our small part in it.
